It preserves history while adding a bright spot to the landscape.”And, this injection of positivity has gained the attention of the Nashville media in this Tennessean story, "Realtors find the fun during trying times." 
After seeing the Chamber of Commerce’s new mural, Derrick collaborated with USA Pro Art and he made sure artist Manuel Fuentes included his social media handle so people could tag them as well, @EXIT_Realty_Garden_Gate.
“The first day it was done, we posted a photo which went viral with over 12,000 hits from across the state. Although the water tower is now gone, we captured that image and added the EXIT Realty Garden Gate logo on it. I really love the way it has turned out and it is so fun seeing people snap pics in front of it.”
While Derrick embraces technology and social media, he says he is still old school and appreciates a phone call and conversation over text. He also likes to set the tone for his day and begin on a positive note with affirmations.“Daily affirmations work and I like beginning the day with a positive message.
