Farr exceeding your expectations is one of the driving goals of Broker/Owner Diane Farr for her successful EXIT Realty of the Smokies franchise.
My tagline is  ‘Farr Exceeding Your Expectations,’ explains Diane, and it is the main goal for her office.
“I consider myself a non-compete Broker who is accessible to my agents 24/7.  Yes, I do handle friends and family referrals but mainly the leads that come in are funneled to my agents. I support them from start to finish and I’m beside them through the whole process.
Offering them support until they are comfortable is an important part of the training process. This is one of the things which makes my business different,” she said.
Diane says her story is interesting because she started with EXIT as an agent in 2007, then moved up as a Broker, left for three years, and returned in 2016 to buy her own franchise in late 2017. She officially opened her Kodak, Tennessee office at the scenic gateway to the Smokies in January 2018. “I do have the perspective of being with EXIT as an agent and I returned when the opportunity was right for me to buy a franchise,” she said.
In the beginning, residuals and sponsorship are what attracted Diane to EXIT.
“It is a very interesting concept but sometimes hard to explain to people.  It isn’t multi-level marketing.  Very simply, the residual program is the way to go.  You get 10% off the top of the agent you sponsored and it is no joke.  It is hard to grasp because it seems too good to be true. But it is!”
One of Diane’s first agents who brought in a sponsor saw the positives of the residual immediately.  The agent closed a deal that was over $1 million and the sponsorship agent received $3,300 in a residual bonus. It is absolutely real and money in your pocket!Diane added it seems to come along just when you need it too.“I had trouble with a water heater and, coincidentally, I got a sponsoring bonus of just about the exact amount. Free money,”   said.
Steve Morris also plays a role in Diane’s loyalty to EXIT.
“Steve’s vision for the company is infectious.  EXIT cares about the whole person and you aren’t just a number.  They care about what happens to you in all aspects of our life, health and well-being.  EXIT also provides resources for their owners, brokers and agents.  They give you all the tools you need to succeed.  You just have to use them,” Diane says.
My agents are proud of what our franchise is accomplishing and are happy to share what I’ve done for them says Diane.
“My agents are spreading the word! From the hands-on training to supporting agents on all levels of the spectrum, we are very hands-on and much of it one-on-one. Newer agents appreciate this and I make time working around their busy schedules,” Diane said. “And, we get agents from outside agencies calling us for advice which speaks volumes. We are always planting those seeds.”
She understands the busy lives of her agents and works around their schedule to support them.
“I also have a busy life as a mother of two daughters, one of which is disabled but I’m lucky and blessed to have a supportive husband. She is mobile, but non-verbal and I am her primary caregiver as well as running this business. It is not always easy but I tell my agents to push through for yourself, your family and your business while seeing the positives. For me, it is important to work with a company who values me for my story and others, no matter where you are in the journey,” Diane shared.
One of the things which inspires Diane and her office is their community knowing they are there for them, not only buying and selling houses, but for the long haul.
“We want our community to be proud we are here. We’ve done several community service projects including collecting Toys for Tots and school supplies for the Northview Schools. In 2020, we raised money for the Northview Kodak Volunteer Fire Department who are our neighbors just two doors down. We helped them through the Spirit of EXIT and raised five thousand which was matched by EXIT Realty Corp. International for a total of $10,000. They were able to buy five brand new Heart Start Defibrillators,” Diane said.
The Kodak area has a lot of growth opportunities available and Diane is looking for talented Realtors who share the same values.
“People have no idea how this area is about to explode with opportunity.  I am definitely looking for more agents to take advantage of all the exciting things that are about to happen here," Diane said.
