This year has been challenging in so many ways and breaking through adversity is important. Three years ago, EXIT Southeast Regional Owner Kenny Lynn experienced back-to-back health challenges and in the continuing series on breaking, he shares how he overcame this and eventually broke the all-time EXIT company record in 2019 with partner Stacy Strobl.

 Three years ago, EXIT Southeast held an annual Smart Car Race to raise money for a local nonprofit. That year, it was Feed America First. “I have been drag racing for over 30 years and toward the end of the night crashed. I ended up in the hospital for several days,” Kenny said.[caption id="attachment_4341" align="aligncenter" width="450"]
Through health challenges, Kenny said the EXIT residual checks made a huge difference and he has heard many people share this during the pandemic as well.[/caption]“Then, just three months later, I went to the hospital and was told I needed open heart surgery. These back-to-back health challenges really shook my world. I had to dig deep to figure out what my inner soul can do. I could have gone home, put my head in a pillow and hoped the world would pass me by. Or, I could come out and fight through it. I chose to fight through it,” Kenny said.One of the things which helped Kenny through this was to set a high goal. “I always believe in setting goals and I prefer to set them high. I’d rather not succeed on a very high goal than set it low and know I can easily make it,” Kenny explains. Never give up and never give up hope, says Stacy, and Kenny fought through a very difficult period of time and this should be inspiration for everyone.
“Believe in yourself. Believe in what you are doing. When you are passionate about what you are doing, it no longer becomes a job. It is something you are passionate about and it drives you to continue and persevere,” Stacy shared. “This is something we believe strongly in.
