Long-time supporters of Habitat for Humanity, EXIT Southeast is proud to participate in the 2019 Nashville build alongside former President Jimmy Carter, wife, Rosalynn, and Country legends Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.  Here’s more from EXIT Southeast Regional Owners Kenny Lynn and Stacy Strobl on the historic and important build. 
This the last build of the Carters and teams from EXIT Southeast will be on site all week helping with the 21 home build.  This year marks the 36th year of the Carter Work Project, a humanitarian effort focused on constructing and rehabilitating affordable housing for those in need across the country and around the world. In a news conference, Carter called Nashville a "city of love," taking a cue from music superstar and fellow Habitat volunteer Brooks, who sat next to him during a mid-morning media interview."Nashville has been one of the primary focal points for treating everybody the same," Carter said. "Black and white, all kinds of races, all kinds of music have been melded here in Nashville in the very wonderful spirit of America and also freedom and democracy."

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, is hosting the project, has a long history of creating opportunities for new and current homeowners to build a safe and decent place to call home. Founded in 1985, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville has built or recycled more than 1,185 homes.Since 1984, President and Mrs. Carter have been champions and strong voices for affordable, decent housing for all, donating their time and leadership each year to build and improve homes through Habitat for Humanity’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project.
