As we all work hard to connect and keep moving forward, being engaged during a virtual meeting is important!  One of Annette’s biggest pet peeves is not “showing up” for the Zoom.“If I can get dressed with make-up and matching shoes on Mountain Time Zone, you need to show up and show your face,” Annette says. “It is so hard for a presentor or meeting moderator to not see faces and only names.  Be on time and participate.  In offices with great leadership, this happens and it helps everyone get the most out of their time and the experience.”[caption id="attachment_4511" align="aligncenter" width="600"]

If you are participating in a Zoom, Annette has these great tips.

  • Clear out any distractions from your background. Keep it simple and professional.
  • If your home school kiddos are sharing your device, check it before going live.
  • Make sure your audio and video are good. Check your internet connection and ear phones/pods can have shorts or run out of battery ‚Äì double check.
  • Lighting matters.¬† Be sure you are lit in front of your face. Use a window for nature light.¬† Turn off lights behind or directly above your head. Contemplate a ring light to take it next level. They are super affordable on Amazon.

The ultimate pro tip says Annette is you can choose a filter to soften your appearance.  Click on the video camera icon on the bottom left of your screen.  You can choose backgrounds and filters to change your appearance. When a sales people is introduced to management and recruited into EXIT, each transaction that they close generates a bonus that’s equivalent to 10% of the gross commissions earned by the recruit, payable to the individual who sponsored them into the company.
